Positive Behaviour Support

At Project Mindset, our Positive Behaviour Support team works alongside individuals, families and services to understand behaviour, build meaningful skills, and create environments where people can genuinely thrive.

Our Positive Behaviour Support team is led by Branka, psychologist and Specialist Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, with extensive experience working in forensic disability and complex behaviour support. The team is further strengthened by a Clinical Lead for Forensic and Cultural Behaviour Support, ensuring culturally responsive and clinically thoughtful approaches when working with complex presentations.

Behaviour Support Done Differently reflects our commitment to understanding behaviour with depth, curiosity and compassion. Rather than focusing only on behaviours of concern, we look at the whole person and the broader systems around them.

We specialise in working with complex presentations, including cases where disability intersects with trauma, mental health, justice involvement and cultural context.

We are also experienced in working alongside individuals experiencing significant life complexity, including those navigating substance use, housing instability, service breakdown, or forensic disability settings. These situations require thoughtful, coordinated support and a team work collaboratively across systems.

Understanding behaviour through psychology, trauma, culture and environment.

At Project Mindset, we understand behaviour through multiple lenses — psychological, environmental, cultural and trauma-informed.

Looking at behaviour in this way allows us to develop support strategies that are respectful, meaningful and effective.

Many of the individuals we support sit at the intersection of disability, trauma, justice involvement, mental health and social disadvantage.

Project Mindset provides Positive Behaviour Support for children, adolescents and adults with disability who require thoughtful, evidence-based and collaborative support.
